The Hatbox 'Emilio' offers a substantial selection of Mattei biscuits.
Contains 500 g of Prato Biscuits, a Dove-shaped Mantovana Pasquale Cake, 250 g of Dark Chocolate Biscuits, 250 g of Pistachio and Almond Biscuits, 250 g of Piedmont IGP Hazelnut Biscuits, a bag of small Barbero Chocolate Eggs and a 500 ml bottle of Santa Cristina Antinori Vinsanto.
Prato Biscuits are prepared with 5 simple ingredients: flour, sugar, free range eggs, almonds and pine nuts, they do not contain preservatives, animal fats or vegetable fats.
Commonly known also as 'cantucci' or 'cantuccini' with almond - they are part of the Tuscan confectionery tradition that sees them as the perfect end of a meal in combination with Vinsanto.
The Mantovana is a soft and fragrant cake made with Butter, Fresh Free-range Eggs, Flour and Sugar, covered with almond grains.
It does not contain yeast.
Just like a homemade cake, it is best enjoyed within the first few days of production and in any case within the recommended dates.
In this case the dough is poured into a dove-shaped mold and sold exclusively in the days preceding Easter.
The biscuits with dark chocolate, those with pistachios and almonds and those with Piedmont IGP hazelnuts are made with the same dough as the Prato biscuits (flour, sugar, farmed eggs), and instead of almonds and pine nuts, fine drops are added of dark chocolate (85% cocoa), pistachios and almonds or hazelnuts.
Bag with small Chocolate eggs.
The Santa Cristina Antinori Vinsanto has an intense yellow colour, the nose has hints of toasted hazelnut, honey and apricot.
Full-bodied on the palate, with notes of honey and dried fruit, it is a long and soft wine with an intense finish of chestnut flour and hay.
