• Description

  Only prepared when the oranges are in season and have reached the right balance between sweetness and tartness.
  As you spread this marmalade your knife will stumble on the bits of hand-cut peel. Ideal for breakfast and for healthy, tasty snacks.
  Also delicious in chocolate cakes or tarts. It contains no added coloring, flavoring or pectin.
  
  Store in a cold dry place.
  Once opened keep refrigerated and use within 15 days.

• History

  In 1949 Antonio Bonomo and Girolamo Giglio started the capperificio activity in Pantelleria.
  
  With the disappearance of the founders, the sons of Antonio and Girolamo have collected the memory of the hard and precious work of their fathers and have handed it over to Gabriele Lasagni, who has deepened the study and research on the raw materials that Pantelleria contains and who today directs La Nicchia with passion.
  Today, after more than sixty years, their company is the only Pantelleria organisation to be an Agricultural Company, Capperificio and Artigianale Laboratory.
  Giovanni, Simone and Luca works with us at the Capperificio in Pantelleria; Maurizio, Nicola, Federica and Raffaella at the Artisan Laboratory; Filippo at the Agricultural Company.
