  At approximately 7 cm of pure goodness, the Brigidini stands out with its golden-yellow color and its crisp, crunchy texture. But what truly makes it unique is its unmistakable aniseed scent, which envelops the senses with elegance and sophistication.
  
  Bargilli products do not contain fat, preservatives or additives, they are without dyes and hydrogenated fats. They are completely natural.

  For correct storage it is important to keep the product tightly closed.

• History

  Brigidini from Lamporecchio are delicate Tuscan wafers—thin, crisp and gently scented with anise—originating in the Pistoia area and dating back to the 16th century.
  According to local legend, they were born by chance in a convent devoted to Saint Bridget, where nuns, while preparing communion wafers, enriched the dough with eggs, sugar and anise, giving life to this unique and much-loved specialty.
  
  The Bargilli company was founded in 1936 when Orlando, the founder, decided to embrace the profession of pastry chef by taking over the laboratory of a family of Bohemian Jews. Thus the current Cialda di Montecatini was born from the curious and original reinterpretation of a traditionally Nordic wafer.
  Orlando's son Paolo and his wife Maria now hold the management of the company which under their guidance has grown by improving production and processing techniques and maintaining the authenticity and quality unchanged thanks to the constant care in the choice of ingredients.
  While still following the original recipe, the production procedure in Via Fermi, has been modernised guaranteeing high quality standards in accordance with recent laws regarding food products.
  The quality of the products is fundamental. Bargilli makes a careful choice of ingredients. Ingredients selected to obtain a unique product for genuineness and exquisiteness.
