Since 1858, Prato Biscuits have been baked daily and hand-packed one by one, in the classic Blu Mattei bag.
The Dark Chocolate Biscuits came out of our oven for the first time in 2013, these are also hand-packed one by one, originally in a red bag but since 2019 in the Blu Mattei bag with a Red label.
In 2019 a new biscuit an even more delicious was created! It is the variety with the prestigious Piedmont IGP Hazelnuts: a trilobate hazelnut, with a particular weight and toasting flavor, carefully selected for the traditional dough of our Biscuits.
In fact, in June 2019, the Biscottificio Mattei Blu bags were officially registered and trademarked as a Unique Color; an important and rare award that definitively gives this historic packaging its uniqueness and belonging to the historic biscuit factory.
Now all our Biscuits are packaged with the Blu Mattei bag, with elements of different colors that distinguish the different flavors.
The hat boxes have been used by the Biscuit factory since the 1920s to ship our products.
A common object in homes up to the 1960s, used to store men's and women's hats up to that time; Ernesto Pandolfini thought of reusing the hat boxes as shipping boxes.
Even today they are reusable collector boxes as containers for small objects.
