• Description

  Prato Biscuits - also commonly known as almond cantucci or cantuccini - are baked every day by our Biscuit Factory since 1958 and are part of the Tuscan confectionery tradition that sees them as a perfect end meal in combination with Vin Santo.
  
  This 'Biscuit jar' in tin with illustrations by Simone Massoni is the second opera for the Mattei Biscuit Factory of the talented Florentine illustrator and contains 125g of Biscuits from Prato.
  
  Prepared with only 5 simple ingredients: flour, sugar, free-range eggs, almonds and pine nuts, they do not contain preservatives, animal fats or vegetable fats.
  
  Recommended pairings:
  - for end meal in addition to the classic Vin Santo, perfect also with soft grappa
  - for a small snack, with coffee or cappuccino
  
  Once opened, store in a cool and dry place in the same tightly closed package.

• History

  Since 1858 our biscuits have been baked daily in the same rooms of the historic biscuit factory and packed one by one by hand in the classic Blu Mattei bag.
  
  Tin packs are traditionally used for better preservation of biscuits; Biscottificio has been offering them since the last century, not only for the maintenance of its biscuits, but also as reusable containers.
  
  This tin box is the second work of the talented couple of Florentine illustrators Simone Massoni and Ilaria Falorsi for the Antonio Mattei Biscuits factory.
  It has been on sale since 2018 and is running out as a limited edition.
