Prato Biscuits - also commonly known as almond cantucci or cantuccini - are part of the Tuscany confectionery tradition and are perfect after a meal paired with Vinsanto.
LIMITED EDITION x GUCCI OSTERIA... the Tuscan icon, whose story began in 1858, meets the joyful world of Gucci. A special edition in collaboration with Gucci Osteria, these artisanal biscuits are a unique product created by the playful, contemporary vision of Gucci Osteria Firenze Co-Executive Chefs Karime Lopez and Takahiko Kondo combined with the expertise and passion of Antonio Mattei. Together, they reworked the famous biscuits from Prato in a special version, with salted caramelized almonds.
Prepared with only 5 simple ingredients: flour, sugar, free range eggs, salted caramelized almonds and sea salt of Cervia they do not contain preservatives, animal fats or vegetable fats.
Recommended pairings:
- Liqueur wine such as Marsala Superiore
- Porto wine, Sherry, Madeira wine
Once opened, store in a cool and dry place in the same tightly closed package. -
History
Since 1858 our biscuits have been baked daily in the same rooms of the historic biscuit and packed one by one by hand in the classic Blu Mattei bag.
In June 2019, the Biscottificio Mattei Blu bags were officially registered and trademarked as a Unique Color; an important and rare award that definitively gives this historic packaging its uniqueness and belonging to the historic biscuit factory.
Now all our Biscuits are packaged with the Blu Mattei bag, with elements of different colors that distinguish the different flavors.
