• Description

  Prato Biscuits - also commonly known as almond cantucci or cantuccini - are part of the Tuscany confectionery tradition and are perfect after a meal paired with Vinsanto.
  PGI Piedmont Hazelnut Biscuits are a delicious variety of the Biscotti di Prato flavor, with which they share the same identical dough.
  
  Prepared with just 4 simple ingredients: flour, sugar, hazelnuts and free-range eggs. They do not contain preservatives, animal fats or vegetable fats.
  
  Recommended pairings:
  - for breakfast with cappuccino or hot chocolate
  - at the end of a meal with dessert wine
  - as a small snack with milk or coffee

• History

  Since 1858 our biscuits have been baked daily and packed one by one by hand in the classic Blu Mattei bag.
  In 2019 a new biscuit was born, even more delicious! It is the variant with the prestigious Piedmont PGI Hazelnuts: a trilobate hazelnut, with a particular weight and toasting flavor, carefully selected for the traditional dough of our Biscuits.
  
  The hatboxes have been used since the 1920s to ship our products.
  A common object in homes up until the 1960s, used to store men's and women's hats up until that time; Ernesto Pandolfini thought of using hatboxes as shipping boxes.
  In 2008, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the foundation of our Biscuit Factory, we created this Mini hatbox with 200g of our Biscuits; ideal as a gift pack, it can then be reused and recycled as a container for different types of objects: clothes pegs, for toiletries, etc.
