• History

  The hat boxes have been used by Biscottificio Mattei since the end of the 1800s to contain and ship our Products.
  It was a common object in homes, until the 1960s, as a container for men's and women's hats .
  
  Ernesto Pandolfini (owner of the biscuit factory since 1920) greatly increased the use of hat boxes as shipping boxes. At the time they were made of cardboard leather.
  
  Today much of our catalog is dedicated to these boxes with a historical flavor that become reusable collectible boxes as containers of small objects.
